Hi! My name is Syakirah, and I am from Kota Bharu, Kelantan. I am currently in my final year of PhD studies in Chemical Engineering at Hiroshima University, Japan, where I have been pursuing my studies since 2019, from my bachelor's degree to my doctorate.
I graduated from SMKA Naim Lilbanat, with 11As (8A+ and 3A) in SPM 2016. My secondary school education provided me with a strong foundation in both science and Islamic studies, particularly Bahasa Arab, Al-Quran dan As-Sunnah, and Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah, in which I achieved A+ grades.
In addition to my academic background in STEM, I have achieved a TOEIC score of 910 and JLPT N1 certification. I am comfortable communicating in Malay, English, Japanese, Arabic, and Indonesian, allowing me to adapt my teaching approach to students from different backgrounds.
Currently, I also serve as a Teaching Fellow at Hiroshima University, assisting my professor with undergraduate courses such as Heat Transfer and Introduction to Chemical Engineering. Through this experience, I have developed a strong interest in teaching and explaining complex concepts in a simple, structured, and understandable way.
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy. I love working with students, especially children, and nothing makes me happier than seeing their faces light up when they finally understand something they previously found difficult.
My long-term goal is to become a university lecturer, and I see tutoring as a meaningful opportunity to develop my teaching skills while helping younger students succeed academically.
As a tutor, I believe that every student has their own learning pace and potential. My aim is not only to help students achieve good examination results but also to build their confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment of learning.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge and supporting students throughout their learning journey!
